PET OF THE WEEK

Spot needs a home. The 18-month-old neutered male Labrador and

Australian shepherd mix has lived in a kennel since late March. His

adopters will receive a training package.

But Spot isn’t alone. Three rabbits rescued from the Newport Beach

Animal Shelter are still available.

The Community Animal Network holds adoptions every Saturday and Sunday

from noon to 4 p.m. in front of Russo’s Pet Experience at Fashion Island,

905 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach.

Three female kittens called the “Wiggley Wagglies” were adopted there

Sunday. The felines earned the affectionate title because they were known

to wiggle before being petted.
