defeat Ocean View’s football team, 21-13.

CdM’s Christy Cummins is victorious in the Laguna Hills Invitational

with a time of 18:42 and the Sea Kings’ girls cross country team also

wins the meet.

The Tars’ Jamie Swarburg finishes first in 19:12.

Newport Harbor’s boys water polo team defeats Long Beach Wilson in the

semifinals of the South Coast Tournament, 7-6, but the Sailors fall to

Foothill, 11-8, in the championship game. Chris Richardson and Chris Seib

both score twice in each game.

Costa Mesa’s boys water polo team outduels Servite, 16-15, in a wild consolation shootout at the South Coast Tournament. James Comfort leads

Mesa with six goals.

Woodbridge’s girls tennis team breaks a 10-year winless streak against

CdM with a 10-8 victory. Nina Vaughan and Meghan Wachtler each win two

singles sets for CdM.

CdM’s football team scores a touchdown in the final minutes to defeat

Estancia, 15-9. Todd Kehrli leads the Sea Kings in a 71-yard touchdown drive that starts with four minutes left. Kevin Murphy caps off the drive

with a touchdown run. Dave Hong scores Estancia’s lone touchdown.

Costa Mesa’s football team falls to Los Amigos, 31-13. Ryan McEvoy

rushes for a touchdown and catches another for the Mustangs.

Newport Harbor’s football team gets shut out by Huntington Beach,

16-0. Newport’s Steve Walker completes 12 passes for 121 yards.

Behind seven combined goals from brothers Ryan and Austin Weir, CdM’s

boys water polo team beats El Toro, 12-7.

Newport Harbor’s girls volleyball team holds on to a 16-15, 15-11,

6-15, 5-15, 15-10 victory over Dana Hills. Tara Kroesch leads the Sailors

with 28 kills.

Estancia’s girls volleyball team remains undefeated with a 17-15,

15-9, 15-4 sweep of Canyon behind Brandi Brooks’ 19 kills.

Costa Mesa’s girls tennis team gets a 13-5 win over El Modena. Bridget
