Club soccer: OCU Sting blank Pacific Soccer Club

COSTA MESA - The Orange Coast United Sting, a boys under 19 silver

elite club soccer team improve to 6-1 for the season following Saturday’s

3-0 win over the Pacific Soccer Club Brian Henry, Ryan Lancaster and

Brian Walton each scored for the Sting, while Michael Culp, Christain

Jordan, Brendan Fenno, Jose Perez, Chasen Marshall, Justin Collins, Billy

Lund, Scott Nickerson and Chris Baez dominated the offense.

On defense, David Jenkins, Bijan Ewalt, Jeff Kinkopf and goalie Sam

Coons each played strong in keeping Pacific off the scoreboard.

In OCU girls action:

OCU Rush 3, Canyon Classic FC 1 - The girls under 12 Rush maintained

its first-place standing with the impressive win.

Amy Staudinger, Cindy Mendoza and Courtney Anderson each scored for

the Rush, while Samantha Castillo added an assist.

The defense played well once again. The Rush was led by keeper Tori

Rocke and sweepers Elyse VanLeer, Amanda Shaw, Britanny Koster, Robin

Ibbetson, Jennifer Powell, Chelsea Wisdom, Brianna Baker and Sasha Key.
