Pee Wee Jaguars top Seahawks, 20-12
The Fountain Valley Pee Wee Jaguars jumped out to a 20-0 halftime lead
on Newport Mesa, then held off a second half charge by the Seahawks to
record a 20-12 Junior All-American Football victory Saturday.
Once again, an offensive line consisting of Kevin Loyola, Coby Mason,
Justin Gunn, Brennan Boano and Brian Verschueren paved the way for
running back Bryan Schutte, who scored all three Jaguar touchdowns.
Martin Duran led the Fountain Valley defense with three quarterback
sacks and Freddie Estrada made a key interception to stop one final
Seahawks drive late in the game. Michael Berber, Dean Persinger, Travis
McNaughton and Justin Dawson continually pressured Newport Mesa’s
offense.
The Jaguars will travel Saturday to Placentia to meet the Tri City
Steelers.
