Fountain Valley police are still searching for a man who they say

assaulted James Hundley, 36, of Garden Grove at the Fountain Valley

Recreation Center basketball courts Oct. 10.

Police said Hundley was struck on the left side of the head, which

caused him to fall and hit his head on the pavement. Hundley suffered a

skull fracture and underwent brain surgery. He remains in critical

condition.

The man is described as 35 to 40, 5-foot-8 or 5-foot-9, 210 pounds and

African American. He has short black hair, brown eyes, four earrings in

his left ear and a tongue ring. He may go by the name Willie.

Police say the man may frequent a number of basketball courts in

Orange County and participate in pickup games.
