* Del Mar Avenue: Begging was reported in the 100 block at 6:07 p.m.

* Iowa Street: Grand theft was reported in the 1600 block at 5:22 p.m.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Bayview Circle: A laptop computer was reported stolen from a hotel

meeting room in the 500 block at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.

* West Coast Highway: Vandals were reported to have entered a used car

sales lot and dented five parked cars in the 3500 block at 9:05 a.m.
