ENGAGEMENTS

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Theodore Tyler, of Corona del Mar, have announced

the engagement of their daughter, Jill Lynn Tyler, to Dr. James Douglas

Eplett Jr., of Newport Beach.

The bride-to-be is a National Charity League Debutante and a graduate

of Corona del Mar High School. She received her bachelor’s degree from

UCLA and holds a master’s degree from Harvard University. She is now in

her fifth year of a doctoral fellowship in computer science at UCI.

The groom-to-be is the son of Mary Jane Eplett and Dr. James Douglas

Eplett Sr., of Boston, Mass. He attended Cornell University and graduated

from the University of Vermont. He earned a medical degree from Tufts

University School of Medicine, and his residency training was done at

Johns Hopkins Hospital. He received a master’s degree in business

administration from Stanford University and is now a partner at Essex

Woodlands Health Ventures.

A November wedding is planned.
