The C.S. Lewis Foundation will hold a dinner forum for Christians in

higher education from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Costa Mesa Hilton, 3050

S. Bristol.

The foundation is a California-based nonprofit organization that

fosters the renewal of Christian scholarship and artistic expression. It

is inspired by author C.S. Lewis.

The keynote speaker for the evening will be James Hunter, chairman of

the department of sociology at the University of Virginia and the

director of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture. He will

discuss the “struggle over the direction of American culture.”

All are welcome to attend. The cost for the evening is $40 per person

or $65 per couple. The cost for graduate students is $30 per person or
