Men’s soccer: Six Pirates named to All-OEC team

COSTA MESA - Six Orange Coast College men’s soccer players were

named to the All-Orange Empire Conference team on Monday.

Geno Vitale-Sansosti, Spencer McDearmon and Ian Buchanan were each

first-team selections for OCC, while Hilario Arriaga, Matt Moseley and

Aaron Siemers were second-team choices.

Vitale-Sansosti led the Pirates in scoring with 14 goals, while

McDearmon and Buchanan were the dominant forces on OCC’s stingy defense.

Arriaga, an Estancia High product, was one of the conference’s top

goalies, posting a 15-3-2 record and accumulating 113 saves.

Orange Coast (16-3-4) defeated L.A. Harbor, 2-1, Tuesday, in the

opening round of the Southern California Regionals and will play at Santa

Barbara Saturday.
