SKIRBALL TRIP

The Young Business & Professionals Division of the Jewish Federation

of Orange County will visit the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles

to see an exhibit titled “Revealing and Concealing: Portraits and

Identity.” The group will meet at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Jewish

Federation Campus, 250 E. Baker St., Suite A, Costa Mesa. $22, and the

cost includes round-trip transportation by carpool, lunch at the museum,

FILM FEST

HOLIDAY BAZAAR

The Temple Bat Yahm Sisterhood’s annual Chanukah Bazaar will hold a

grand opening preview from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 2 at Temple Bat Yahm, 1011

Camelback St., Newport Beach. Remaining hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec.

3-4, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 5-6, and 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 7. Admission for

SPITZ TALK

Rabbi Elie Kaplan Spitz, a spiritual leader at Congregation B’nai

Israel in Tustin, will talk about Jewish views of the afterlife at the

CHURCH TALK

Catholics who feel spiritually homeless because of guilt, divorce or

any other obstacle concerning the Catholic Church can attend the last

informal gathering Sunday to express their views at 6:15 p.m. at Our Lady

MEDITATION LESSONS

A “lectio divina” meditation group will be held weekly beginning at

7:15 a.m. Thursdays at Our Lady Angels Parish Center, 2046 Mar Vista

Drive, Newport Beach. Lectio is a style of meditation that includes using

Scripture or a special reading as a stimulus. Free. The Christian

Meditation Group meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month

‘JESUS IN BLUE JEANS’

The Rev. Gail Miller holds a class based on Laurie Beth Jones’ book
