AYSO Region 57: Green Machine battle the Blue Thunder

NEWPORT BEACH - Andrew Doka and Timmy Dewees each scored goals for

the Green Machine in their AYSO Region 57 Division 6 boys soccer matchup

against the Blue Thunder on Saturday.

Alexander Yelich and Matthew Francini also scored goals for the Green

Machine, while all-around team support was provided by Ryan Banning,

Hunter Owen, Michael Bui and Dylan Gillespie.

In other Division 6 action:

The Blue Blizzard was led on Saturday by Dylan Pievac’s three goals

and Mike Pawell’s two goals.

Michael Hassman also scored a goal, while Darren Hardy, Keyan Jalili,

Jason Johl, Maxwell Carpenter and Max Muelhauser played solid defense.

In a fiery game between the Firebolts and Fireballs, John Swigert and

Jack Gorab each scored goals for the Fireballs.

Strong midfield play was provided by Nick Molinaro, Matthew Burt,

Anthony Deboub and Matt Larson, while on defense, Logan Burkhead and

Kevin Kitzens led the way for the Fireballs.

The Green Lightning, in their contest on Saturday, was led on offense

by Mason Case, Trevor Friedman and Bruce Beaver, while the defense was

anchored by Brennan Anderson, Garrett Godfrey and Bryce Ashton.

For the Blue Angels, in their contest with the Jaguars, goals were

scored by Davis Case, Troy Reese and Blake Grable, while Nick McGuinness

and Erik Ctvrtlik played solid defense.
