at 6:43 p.m. Tuesday.

* Fair Drive: Grand theft was reported in the first block at 10:17

a.m. Tuesday.

* Pomona Avenue: An assault was reported in the 2000 block at 5:30

p.m. Tuesday.

* University Drive: A home was burglarized in the 300 block at 11:06

a.m. Tuesday.

* West 17th Street and Whittier Avenue: A hit-and-run was reported at

10:35 a.m. Tuesday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Avon Street: A handgun was stolen from a store counter in the 2600

block at 11:15 a.m. Monday.

* Mendoza Terrace: Computer equipment valued at $11,000 was stolen in

the 400 block at 5:15 a.m. Monday.

* Newport Center Drive: Four boxes of hypodermic needles were stolen

from a dentist’s office in the 400 block at 10:40 a.m. Monday.
