CdM girls roll, 15-4

ORANGE - Corona del Mar High’s girls water polo team got off on the

right foot Wednesday, shelling host El Modena, 15-4, in a nonleague

matchup.

Brittany Bowlus led the way with five goals, and Alexa Miller,

Danielle Carlson, Christina Hewko and Lindsey Daley each scored twice in

the runaway victory.

CdM (1-0) led at the end of the first quarter, 6-0, and was never

threatened.

Hewko and Carlson each had five steals and goalie Jessica Wells had

six saves.
