Eagles fall, 62-47

FULLERTON - Host Fullerton High dealt Estancia High’s Eagles a

season-opening 62-47 boys basketball loss Monday night in the first round

of the Fullerton Tournament.

Eliasar Maldonado led Estancia with 21 points, including five

three-pointers, but the Eagles found themselves in a catch-up mode from

the early stages of the game.

Micah Young was the only other Eagle scoring in twin figures, with 11

points.

The Eagles, 0-1, return to Fullerton High Wednesday with a 6 p.m. game

against Western.
