Sailors fall, 51-39

IRVINE - Newport Harbor High’s girls basketball team dropped a

51-39 decision to host University High Monday night at the South Coast

Tournament.

The Sailors, who displayed a strong board game with Amanda Campbell,

Evita Castillo and Lindsey Woller each colleting seven rebounds, fell

behind in the early going and could not recover.

Woller and Whitfield were in double figures scoring, with 11 and 10

points, respectively.

The Sailors meet Mission Viejo Thursday at 5 p.m. in their next

tournament start.
