Girls soccer: CdM hammers La Serna

CORONA DEL MAR - Alison Brawner had one goal and three assists and

Elisha Morgan added a goal and two assists to help the Corona del Mar

High girls soccer team trounce nonleague visitor La Serna, 7-2, Thursday.

Allison Harvey had a pair of goals, while Lauren Loe, Molly O’Meara

and Lauren Shepherdson each added single tallies to help CdM improve to

5-1.

Coach Ron Evans’ squad has now outscored its opponents, 25-5, this

season. Britta Vogele had two saves to hand La Serna (2-1) its first

loss.

The Sea Kings will play two games in the La Serna Tournament Saturday,

beginning with an 8 a.m. clash with Cypress.
