Girls basketball: Eagles pull away
IRVINE - Estancia High built a seven-point halftime lead, then
outscored Trabuco Hills, 14-4, in the third quarter to pull away for a
48-28 girls basketball victory in the 13th-place semifinal of the South
Coast Tournament Thursday at University High.
Freshman Trisha Wase had nine of her game-high 11 points in the first
quarter, all on three-pointers, and Zuyin Barrera added eight, with two
three-pointers, for the winners (2-2).
Trabuco fell to 1-3.
