CdM boys win, 52-49

LA HABRA - Corona del Mar High’s Sea Kings captured their second

straight at the North Orange County Tournament at Sonora High Thursday

with a 52-49 boys basketball victory over Santa Ana, keyed by a strong

display of man-to-man defense in the third quarter and the double digit

scoring of Zach Brewster (16) and Eric Snell (11).

“We’re gradually starting to figure things out,” said CdM Coach Paul

Orris.

The wins sends CdM (3-5) back to Sonora today to face high-scoring and

rapid-fire Montclair Prep at 4:40 in a consolation semifinal.
