Girls Hoops: Estancia buries Dana Hills

DANA HILLS - The Estancia High girls basketball team outscored host

Dana Hills, 23-2, in the first quarter en route to a 57-29 nonleague

victory Saturday night.

The Eagles connected on 10 three-pointers, five in each half.

Estancia’s Zuyin Barrera hit five treys and scored a game-high 17

points. Eagles sophomore Xochitl Byfield finished with 14 points, while Lisa Hirata, who hit two three-pointers, scored 8 at Dana Hills (2-6)

Estancia (5-2) will face Leuzinger as the Eagles begin play in the Los

Alamitos Tournament Tuesday.
