Men’s basketball: Orange Coast rallies past Imperial Valley.

IMPERIAL - The Orange Coast College men’s basketball team overcame

a horrid first half of shooting to defeat host Imperial Valley, 78-69,

Tuesday night in nonconference action.

The Pirates (8-4) were 5 of 24 from the field in the first half and

trailed by 12, before responding with a 51-point second half, led by the

trio of Nick Burwell (24 points), Chad Hagedorn (20 points, 14 rebounds)

and Ryan Earl (12 points eight assists).

The Pirates will host Rio Hondo Thursday night at 7:30.
