Fountain Valley dumps Capo-Dana, 52-37

The Fountain Valley boys’ sixth-grade All-Net basketball team

collected its third victory of the season Sunday, beating Capo-Dana,

52-37.

Philip Duran led all scorers with 14 points, Eric Ferraro added 10,

Kolbe Newell scored eight, Andrew Bender had 10 rebounds, and Mark

Johnson and Bryce Kubo led the defense for Fountain Valley, which

improved to 3-1.

Division II

Knicks 38, Barons 31

Tyler Petry scored 12 points, and Matt James added eight points to

lead the Knicks.

76ers 48, Lakers 26

Daniel Morris netted 16 points, Alex Artinger scored 10, Noor Shukairy

added six points, and William Sung and Nicholas Vogen played strong

defensive games to lead the 76ers.

Fountain Valley 38, Fountain Valley Barons 31

Matt Randol scored nine points, Stuart Schultz added eight with five

rebounds, Dylan Gearin had six points with three assists, Erik Rhoten had

a team-high six rebounds, and Scott Sorenson had four rebounds and a

team-best three blocked shots to lead the Barons (1-3).

Division III

Lakers 35, Bombers 34

Tsubassa Furukawa scored 11 points and had 15 rebounds, Ryan Sharpe

had 11 points to go along with 12 caroms, and Ray Strazzulla scored seven

points with five rebounds and four steals as the Lakers (3-1) upended the

previously unbeaten Bombers (3-1), who were led by Cody Grant’s 13

points.
