The Costa Mesa Sanitary District until Jan. 12 will collect greeting
cards for recycling from six bins around the city.
The district will donate the fronts of the cards to St. Jude’s Ranch
for Children in Boulder City, Nev.
The ranch, a nonprofit home for abused and homeless children, will
make new greeting cards out of the old ones.
The collection sites are at City Hall, 77 Fair Drive; Costa Mesa
Senior Center, 695 W. 19th St.; Ramsay Rexall Drugs, 2246 Newport Blvd.;
White Front Pharmacy, 801 “B” Baker St.; and Costa Mesa Employees Federal
Credit Union, 2701 Harbor Blvd.
The nonprofit also accepts greeting card donations year-round at St.
Jude’s Ranch for Children, 100 St. Jude St., Boulder City, Nev.
