Girls soccer: CdM handles Estancia

CORONA DEL MAR - The Corona del Mar High girls soccer team

controlled from start to finish and defeated visiting Estancia, 11-1,

Tuesday, in Pacific Coast League action.

Allison Harvey led the Sea Kings (16-1-2, 2-0) with four gals, while

Jenny Long added two.

Single CdM tallies were chipped in by Jaycee Mahler, Molly O’Meara,

Elisha Morgan, Lauren Shepardson and even starting goalie Britta Vogele.

While in goal, Vogele had two saves before Lauren Loe (zero saves)

came in to finish the game.

Estancia’s lone goal came on a penalty kick late in the contest by

Arlis Reynolds. Eagles’ goalie Kathleen Sheafer had 16 saves.

The Sea Kings will host University on Thursday while the Eagles play

at Northwood. Both contests begin at 3:15 p.m.
