Girls water polo: Mesa falls to University

IRVINE - The Costa Mesa High girls water polo team lost to host

University, 14-4, in Pacific Coast League action Wednesday afternoon.

The Mustangs received second-half goals from Jody Martinovich, Jessica

Steenhard, Denee Heinrichs and Candice Carpenter, while Allison Gravis

posted four saves.

Mesa will host Katella in a nonleague contest Friday, beginning at

3:15 p.m.
