Kings edge Jr. Ice Dogs, 3-2
Alex Borcich’s goal off of a Cody Schlegel feed in the final period
proved to be the difference in the Norris Division match between the
Kings and Jr. Ice Dogs on Jan. 17. The game was won by the Kings, 3-2, at
Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
It was the first goal of the game for Borcich, who in the first period
teamed with Schlegel on an assist leading to a Craig Landon goal, that
gave the Kings a 2-1 lead.
Sam Slosman also scored for the Kings, and goalie Jake Marsey had 25
saves.
Kevin Lassen and Ryan Kalama both scored; Seth Stout, Brooke Easton
and Brian Pumphrey each had an assist; and goalie William DeWitt had 23
saves to lead the Jr. Ice Dogs.

Roller Rebels 6, Raptors 3
Tyler Bertrand slapped in three goals, Kyle MacLeod had a goal and
assist, Ricky Weston and Austin Raban each scored once, Hunter Golden had
a pair of assists, and goalie Kian Rhodes had 19 saves to lead the Roller
Rebels.
Colby Rios, D’mitri Sedykin and Wesley Theobald all scored, Tyler
Girvin and Dean Neugebauer had one assist apiece, and goalie Jake Marsey
had 18 saves for the Raptors.
Stars 2, Red Wings 0
Brett Harper and Jeffrey Sabraw both scored, D.J. Mihalik had an
assist, and goalie Spencer Ito recorded 28 saves for the Stars. Red Wings
goalie Jeff Fuzzard had 22 saves.
Lightning 6, Whalers 4
Christopher Powers and Dean Metherell scored single goals in overtime
to lift the Lightning, which also received two goals apiece from Brad
Janelli and Matt Bodziak, an assist from Dylan Verrastro, and 17 saves by
goalie Isaiah Jimenez.
Shayne Nelson scored two goals, Eric Pace and Todd Smith each scored
once, Dylan Higginson had an assist, and goalie Damian Raburn had 26
saves for the Whalers.
