Girls water polo: Mesa doubles up Northwood

COSTA MESA - The Costa Mesa High girls water polo team used a big

first quarter to defeat Northwood, 8-4, in Pacific Coast League action

Wednesday.

Ashley Wright, Frances Assal and Erin Bayes each had two goals to pace

the Mustangs’ attack.

Mesa (1-1 in league) will host El Modena in nonleague action Friday at

4 p.m.
