REBUTTAL

Regarding the cartoon by Eric Hutchinson of the dog that got

spray-painted on the Community Forum pages of Jan. 8.

I think it’s in very, very poor taste considering what happened in

real life to the poor dog.

I think you guys should think twice about printing something like that

in your paper. I think it’s in very, very poor taste.

I’m a dog owner and a dog lover; I was repulsed and incensed the first

time I read the real thing. I think having to see it all again is just

horrible.

So please think twice about doing something like that. It’s not

sending a good message to kids. I know what you’re trying to say or what

he’s trying to say in his little comic, but it’s still not presenting a

good message to older kids who might be reading it.

So please think twice about it, and I hope you don’t do something like

this again. Thank you for understanding.
