Girls soccer: Sea Kings wake up for 2-1 win

CORONA DEL MAR - The Corona del Mar girls soccer team overcame a

1-0 deficit to remain unbeaten in the Pacific Coast League with a 2-1

victory over visiting Laguna Beach Thursday.

Sea King junior Allison Harvey finished a pass from sophomore Lauren

Shepardson to tie the score, 1-1, two minutes before halftime.

Then, 13 minutes into the second half, Shepardson scored off an assist

from senior Natalia Dorfman. CdM senior goalkeeper Britta Vogele finished

with three saves as the Sea Kings (19-1-3, 5-0-1 in league) outshot the

Artists (2-2-2 in league), 14-1 in the second half.

CdM, ranked No. 1 in CIF Southern Section Division IV, will attempt to

remain unbeaten in league with a game at Northwood, Tuesday at 3:15 p.m.
