Girls soccer: Harbor blanks Irvine, 2-0

NEWPORT BEACH - The Newport Harbor girls soccer team shut out

Irvine, 2-0, in Sea View League action Thursday.

In the 75th minute, Harbor sophomore Sabrina Couch found the net after

sophomore Taryn Flamson’s corner kick.

The Tars (9-4-4, 3-0-2 in league) outshot the Vaqueros, 25-3, as

Harbor junior goalie KiIssa Tyler finished with two saves. Erica Peterson

turned back 19 shots for Irvine (7-8-2, 0-4-1).

The Tars will resume Sea View League play, Tuesday at 3:15 p.m., at

Laguna Hills.
