Dennis Rodman is considering buying Josh Slocums Restaurant, but not

everybody in “the Biz” is welcoming him with open arms.

Monahan’s, said he thinks the idea is ridiculous.

“Dennis Rodman has as much business owning a restaurant as my 5-foot,

2-inch frame does playing basketball in the NBA,” Monahan said Friday.

Rodman was listed during his playing days at 6 feet 8.

JOSH SLOCUMS GOES HOLLYWOOD?

Rodman’s “I’m thinking about” buying Josh Slocums might not have all

of you jumping up and down in joy. But one Newport Beach resident, who’s

worked with the outrageous ex-basketball star before, said that he kind

of likes the idea.

Craig Fronk, an independent film-maker, co-produced “Cutaway,” a movie

about a skydiving team that’s involved in a drug-smuggling operation. Tom

Berenger plays the film’s lead villain, while Stephen Baldwin and our

very own Dennis Rodman compete for second-in-command.

Fronk said that Rodman was a pleasure to work with -- “He fit the part

very well, showed up on time and knew his lines.” West Newport Beach’s

wildest party boy even flew to the Cannes Film Festival to help promote

the movie.

So now that Rodman’s considering a new career as a restaurant/bar

manager, Fronk said he hoped the two could work together again.

“If he felt that he had a good experience, maybe we could use Josh

Slocums as a location for our next movie,” Fronk said.

How about it, Mr. Rodman? And just in case any of you feel like

checking out the man as he’s falling out of airplanes, Fronk assured

Inside Scoop that the movie is available at most video stores by now.
