CdM takes care of Northwood

IRVINE - Junior Allison Harvey’s goal in the 78th minute lifted the

Corona del Mar High girls soccer team to a 2-1 Pacific Coast League win

over host Northwood Tuesday.

Harvey’s goal came off a free kick by Molly O’Meara from 40 yards out.

Lauren Shepardson scored first for CdM (20-1-3, 6-0-1), ranked No. 1 in CIF Southern Section Division IV, before Northwood’s Taryn Sanchez

tied the game before halftime.

Coach Ron Evans was pleased with the strong flank play from Jenny Long

and Allison Brawner.

Goalie Britta Vogele had three saves for the Sea Kings, who play at

Estancia Thursday at 3:15 p.m.
