Spa Gregories is offering a package ideal for Valentine’s Day

gift-giving. The Spa Date for two is an alternative for couples who want

a night out. It’s a one-hour massage or facial, and a $15 discount valid

for lunch or dinner at Tutto Mare Restaurant at Fashion Island; a brunch

or dinner cruise on Hornblower Yachts in Newport Beach; or fun, games and

food at Dave & Buster’s at the Irvine Spectrum. The Spa Date doesn’t have

to be used on Valentine’s Day; it may be used at any time during the

year. The services would usually cost $174 if bought separately, and is

available for two at $160. The Spa Date is one of Spa Gregories’ most

popular packages; it’s been a popular gift for engagements, weddings,

The American Cancer Discovery Shop has received a shipment of brand

new indoor-outdoor ceiling fans with light kits “to blow away winter

small bookstore called Read It Again, on Harbor Boulevard at Adams

Avenue, next to the Paul Mitchell school (the old Edwards theater). “They

have a large selection of used hardcovers, paperbacks, loads of good

mysteries and audios,” she says. Read It Again is at 1500 Adams Ave., Costa Mesa. It’s open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and

The best in designer fabrics is available at Ansari Fabrix. It’s a

great place to find exclusive European fabrics for every budget. The

prices range from $18 a yard to $750 per yard. The owner, Nasrin Ansari,

chooses all of the fabrics. The shop features more than 1,500 different

fabrics, plus special orders. Ansari’s fabric inventory includes rare

fabrics, such as 100% silk cashmere from France, three-layered silk from

Switzerland, 100% rare wool, exotic French lace, cut velvet, painted silk

and 100% Italian cotton. International designers use many of the fabrics.

“Valentino, Christian La Croix, Christian Dior, Chanel, Romeo Gigli will

feature some of these fabrics in their 2001 collection,” says Ansari.

Ansari Fabrix not only offers expert consultations in fabric selections

but also does designs, sketches and has a special couture service. “I
