AYSO Region 97: Breakers sweep weekend tourney

ANAHEIM - The Newport Beach Breakers, a girls-under-10 APP soccer

team from AYSO Region 97, won all three contests at the ASA Girls

Friendship Tournament Jan. 20-21.

The Breakers posted victories over the Corona Flash (5-0), the

Palmdale Blue Angels (3-1) and the Burbank Dream (6-2).

Amy Snyder and Stephanie Nealey shared goalkeeping duties while Maggie

Bernay, Kelly Heenan and Katie Storch provided solid defensive support.

Midfielders Alice Cope, Shannon Rohan, Lauren DeVoy and Kori Erhorn

helped spark the offense, while strikers Sara Gomez and Erin Miller

continued to outplay and outscore the opposition.
