Women’s basketball: Lions roar past Cal Baptist

COSTA MESA - The Vanguard University women’s basketball team took

care of visiting Cal Baptist, 69-53, in Golden State Athletic Conference

action Thursday night.

Becki Huddle led the Lions (14-6, 7-4 in conference) with 18 points,

six rebounds and six assists, while Rachel Fikse added 16 points and six

rebounds.

In a balanced attack, Kelly Boeke contributed 14 points and eight

rebounds, while Laura Lee added 12 points.
