Men’s basketball: Pirates drop fifth straight

COSTA MESA - The Orange Coast College men’s basketball team lost

its fifth straight Orange Empire Conference contest Friday night to

visiting Fullerton, 100-82.

The Pirates (14-11, 5-5 in conference) trailed at the half, 62-34, and

could not recover.

Nick Burwell led OCC with 23 points, while Ryan Earl and Jeremy Madrid

each chipped in 12.

Romel Beck led the Hornets (18-8, 6-4) with 41 points.
