least one answer -- at least for Valentine’s Day -- at the intimate

apparel salon of Neiman Marcus, Fashion Island.

Fine personal apparel seems quite timeless, and what makes a woman

feel more like a woman than a silk nightgown or a pretty pink robe

trimmed in lace?

Chocolate may be sweet and diamonds may sparkle, but lingerie is

CUTLINES

1. Dolce and Gabbana create this 80% nylon short zebra-stripe gown

($93) worn with a black La Perla designed robe made of 100% silk with a fur collar and cuffs ($270). Add a pair of sexy slippers, in this case

Giuseppe Zanotti black and silver mesh with crystals ($290).

2. This red silk robe by Natori has hot pink lace cuffs and a collar

to match ($88). The matching night gown is priced at $68. Harrington

shows off shoes by Giuseppe Zanotti in a coordinating hot pink with a

crystal flower toe ($290).

3. From the classic salon of Oscar de la Renta, a pink and whiterose

floral short robe ($98.00) is shown off by Harrington along with a

matching gown ($82). Her shoes, again by Giuseppe Zanotti, are pink

opalescent leather with pink and clear Swarovski crystals ($390)

4. La Perla designs this aquamarine robe ($390), worn with a long

aquamarine gown embroidered with ivory floral stitching ($325). Another

Zanotti slipper is worn, this time a mule with turquoise, royal blue and

silver beading ($375)

5. Harrington models another ensemble by La Perla. This pastel-colored

floral robe ($370) and matching gown (($340) are made of 100% silk.

6. Lejaby offers this 100% silk night shirt in white with dark fuchsia

hearts ($126).
