Crushers crush two more playoff opponents.

The Crushers, a girls’ Under-10 Gold All-star team out of Region 143,

followed up last weekend’s two win performance at the Area 11K All-star

playoff tournament with another two-win effort.

They pounded Region 517, 10-0 in their first game, and followed that

up with a, 4-0, victory over Region 117.

Against Region 517 eight Crushers got into the scoring column, led by

Caitlin Boehne and Breanna Flynn who each had two goals. Kendall Kraiss,

Julia Redmond, Elise Nordin, Kalie Swain, Andrea Gonzalez and Keely Toma

each scored one goal. It was Toma’s first goal of the season.

“She is a defensive specialist and she was very excited about getting

the chance to score a goal,” Hotshots Coach Kerry Kraiss said.

Kendall Kraiss led the way in the second game with two goals. Boehne

and Amy Nunez each scored one.

Kraiss, Gonzalez, Swain, Allison Howard, Jordan Snyder and Michelle

Lewis were effective controlling the midfield, and goalies Flynn and Toma

were outstanding in the net.
