Huntington Beach Surf rolls past Young Guns, 15-6

The Huntington Beach Surf continues to roll along in Squirt Club

Division play, this time defeating the Young Guns, 15-6, in a Squirt Club

Division weekend contest played at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in

Huntington Beach.

The scoring onslaught for the Surf consisted of four goals and two

assists by Taylor Apostol and a four-goal performance by Adam Daley,

while Chad Ramsey and Shane Lakes each had two goals and two assists,

Kevin Kraus scored once with a pair of assists, Stephen Nelson scored

once, and Michael Mongelli added an assist.

The Surf goalie Ross Turchi had 21 saves.

Four players broke into the scoring column for the Young Guns, with

Tyler Lakes leading the way with two goals and two assists. Paul Anderson

also scored twice, Matt Deutschmann scored once with two assists, and

Colten Daigneault scored once.

In other games:

Team Red 12, Flamebo 5

In their first of two games of the night, Justin Castagna and Raymond

Frianza each scored three goals, Rocco Grimaldi scored twice with an

assist, Parker Conant and Dakota Eveland each had a pair of assists, and

goalie Eric Morejon had 24 saves, to lead Team Red.

Kevin Powers scored three goals to pace Flamebo.

Anarchy 5, XPress 4 (shootout)

Tied at 4 through regulation play, Brandon Cunningham scored his

second goal of the match in the shootout session to lift Anarchy. Devan

Chargualaf, Steven Tomita and Drew Ruiz also scored for Anarchy; Donald

Watts and Brad Banks had assists; and goalie Cameron Monahan stopped 22

shot attempts.

The XPress was led by Patrick Mask, who scored all four goals, and

Jason Wall with an assist.

Jokers 12, Team Red 2

In the division’s nightcap, seven players scored for the Jokers, led

by the three-goal, one-assist game by Joey Laricchia, two goals and two

assists by Jeffrey Deutschmann and Ryan Doyle, two goals by Donald

Kohler, a goal and assists by Kevin Lachman, a goal and three assists by

Brad Barber, and a goal and assist by Michael Mendez.

Team Red, which earlier in the day had defeated Flamebo (12-5),

received single goals by Raymond Frianeza and Rocco Grimaldi.
