Killybrooke Elementary School PTA is hard at work organizing its third

annual Sock Hop and first silent auction. The festivities will begin at

at 6 tonight with a barbecue, which will be cooked by PTA dads and served

by school board members.

There are many items to bid on, such as a Tourneau men’s watch, gift

certificates from Sports Chalet, Charbroil BBQ and various other

restaurants.

Some of the best items were donated by teachers, such as a day at

Disneyland California Adventure Park, whale-watching on a racing

sailboat, a script from “West Wing” signed by cast members, Krispy Kreme

doughnuts and a day of snowboarding or skiing.

There will be a disc jockey spinning ‘50s tunes, as well as many games

and special dances. So put on your poodle skirt, roll up your jeans and

pull out that letterman jacket.
