COSTA MESA

* Bismark Way: A vehicle theft was reported in the 1100 block at 8:30

a.m. Wednesday.

* Bristol Street: A commercial burglary was reported in the 3300 block

at 5:53 p.m. Wednesday.

* Bristol Street: A robbery was reported in the 3300 block at 9:29

p.m. Wednesday.

* Bristol Street: A petty theft was reported in the 3300 block at 1:16

a.m. Wednesday.

* Bristol Street: A grand theft was reported in the 3300 block at 2:02

a.m. Wednesday.

* Bristol Street: A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of

committing a burglary and possessing burglary tools in the 3300 block at

6 p.m. Wednesday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Eastbluff Drive: Police reported that a man allegedly robbed a drug

store at gunpoint in the 2500 block at 10:16 p.m. Monday. The white man,

described as 27 to 30 years old, 6-foot-3, and weighing about 170 to 220

pounds, had light brown hair and wore a black snowboarder-type beanie, a

blue-striped, short-sleeve shirt, black pants, dark shoes and sunglasses.

He entered the store just after closing time, showed store employees his

gun and said, “Give me all your money.” After he took $602 from the store

workers, he left and said, “Cool” or “Thanks.” Police are still

investigating the incident.

* MacArthur Boulevard: Police reported that someone allegedly cashed a

counterfeit check for $9,843 at a bank in the 4300 block at 10:55 a.m.

Tuesday.

* North Tustin Avenue: Police arrested a man on suspicion of driving

while under the influence of alcohol and drugs in the 1000 block at 3

a.m. Tuesday. Bail was set at $2,500.
