COSTA MESA

* Buckingham Drive: A residential burglary was reported in the 1100

block at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

* Cabrillo Street: A residential burglary was reported in the 300

block at 9:29 a.m. Wednesday.

* East 17th Street: A petty theft was reported in the 400 block at

12:42 p.m. Wednesday.

* East 17th Street: A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of

committing a grand theft exceeding $400 in the 100 block at 2:45 p.m.

Tuesday.

* East 17th Street and Orange Avenue: A vehicle collision resulting in

an injury was reported at 9:02 a.m. Wednesday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* 15th Street and Placentia Avenue: Police arrested a woman on

suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs at 3:45

a.m. Thursday. Bail was set at $2,500.

* Bayview Avenue and Azure Avenue: Police arrested a person on

suspicion of possessing a controlled substance at 6 p.m. Thursday.

* Neptune Avenue and 49th Street: Police arrested a man on suspicion

of possessing a narcotic substance at Tuesday. Bail was set at $10,000.
