COSTA MESA

* Adams Avenue: A purse containing a cellular phone, wallet, credit

cards and cash was stolen from a locked, white 1990 Toyota Celica parked

in the 1600 block between 1 and 4 p.m. Thursday.

* Bristol Street: A 19-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of

committing a burglary in the 2900 block at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday.

* Harbor Boulevard: Vandalism was reported in the 3200 block at 1:06

a.m. Tuesday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* 20th Street and Balboa Boulevard: Police arrested a man and detained

a woman on suspicion of unlawfully taking a vehicle at 5 a.m. Sunday.

Bail was set at $10,000 each.

* 21st Street and West Ocean Front: Police reported that someone stole

a disabled placard from the rearview mirror of a car at 1 p.m. Sunday.

* 29th Street and Newport Boulevard: Police arrested two men on

suspicion of transporting, selling and manufacturing controlled

substances at 7:10 p.m. Sunday. Bail was set at $25,000 each.
