Geri and Jay McCollough of Huntington Beach won the award for Best

Convertible with their 1934 Mercedes Benz 500K during the recent

Presidential Motorcade Car Show at the Orange County Market Place in

Costa Mesa . . . Cynthia Donelson of Fountain Valley has been named one

of the “Who’s Who Among Students” in American Universities and Colleges

for 2001. Donelson is among 24 Chapman University undergraduate students

who were selected as national campus leaders. She joins an elite group of

students from more than 2,300 institutions of higher learning across the

country . . . Marine Lance Cpl. Conrad B. Greiego III of Huntington

Beach recently returned from a six-month deployment to the Mediterranean

Sea and Arabian Gulf while assigned to the 26th Marine Expeditionary

Unit, home based at Camp Lejune in North Carolina . . . Army Pvt. Daniel

C. Mathis of Huntington Beach graduated from the power generation

equipment repair course at Fort Belvoir in Fairfax, Va. During the

course, he was taught to perform, maintain and repair tactical utility

equipment, precise power generation sets and internal combustion engines.

He is the son Of Victor E. and Elizabeth Mathis of Huntington Beach . . .

Army Reserve Pvt. Rollie G. Bennett III graduated from the automated

logistical specialist advanced individual training course at Fort Lee in

Petersburg, Va. The soldier was trained in the skills and knowledge

required to receive, store, issue and account for subsistence supplies.

He is the son of Sandra M. and Rollie G. Bennett of Huntington Beach . .
