Crushers streak can’t be crushed

AYSO Region 143 has been well-represented in the Area 11-K tournament

by the Crushers. The girls’ Under-10 Division All-star team continued its

winning ways by defeating Region 5, 2-0, and Region 55, 3-1.

Kendall Kraiss and Michelle Lewis both scored in the win over Region

5. Breanna Flynn and Keely Toma shared the goal-tendingduties.

The Crushers ran their tournament mark to 7-0-1 with a 3-1 win over

Region 55. Caitlin Bohne, Amy Nunez and Kalie Swain each scored. Flynn

and Toma again were effective in the net, and halfback and fullback play

was provided by Kraiss, Lewis, Jordan Snyder, Elise Nordin, Andrea

Gonzalez and Julia Redmond.

The Crushers resume tournament play Saturday.
