* Fairview Road: A grand theft was reported in the 2700 block at 2:59

p.m. Friday.

* Fairview Road: A grand theft was reported in the 2200 block at 3:01

p.m. Friday.

* Harbor Boulevard: A commercial burglary was reported in the 2300

block at 6:42 p.m. Friday.

* Newport Boulevard: A grand theft was reported in the 2100 block at

1:52 p.m. Friday.

* Newport Boulevard: A grand theft was reported in the 2000 block at

4:59 p.m. Friday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* 16th Street and Monrovia Avenue: Police arrested a man on suspicion

of possessing a controlled substance at 10:30 p.m. Friday. Bail was set

at $10,000.

* 29th Street: Police reported that someone covered skylights with

paint in the 500 block at 12:21 p.m. Thursday.

* 32nd Street and West Balboa Boulevard: Police arrested a man on

suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at 6:50 p.m.

Saturday. Bail was set at $10,000.

* Acacia Avenue: Police arrested a man on suspicion of selling

narcotics at 4:45 p.m. Thursday. Bail was set at $50,000.
