Baseball: Vanguard drops one to Concordia
COSTA MESA - The Vanguard University baseball team let a strong
pitching performance go to waste in a 4-2 Golden State Athletic
Conference loss to visiting Concordia Thursday.
Marcus Harris pitched seven innings and allowed no earned runs on six
hits with two strikeouts for the Lions (10-5, 2-2 in conference).
Concordia (6-6-1, 2-1) took advantage of a Vanguard definsiv miscue
and scored four unearned runs in the fifth inning.
VU designated hitter Anthony Walker had a solo home run, while Michael
Bair added three hits and an RBI.
