Boys tennis: CdM edges Cubs
LOS ANGELES - Corona del Mar High singles standouts Cameron Ball
and Garrett Snyder swept, while the sophomore doubles team of Josh Stuart
and Issei Saida won the clinching set, as the Sea Kings earned a 10-8
season-opening nonleague boys tennis win over host Loyola Thursday at
UCLA.
“We saw some nerves from some of our younger kids, but Josh and Isseai
got their act together and won the deciding match,” CdM Coach Tim Mang
said.
Ball, a junior, did not lose a game, while Snyder, a sophomore,
dropped only one.

Morrison-Brazil, 6-3; def. Newel-Ross, 6-1; Wadhwa-Warsaw (CdM) lost,
1-6, 2-6, 2-6; Stuart-Saida (CdM) won, 6-0, lost, 3-6, 1-6.
