Baseball: Lions master The Master’s

COSTA MESA - The Vanguard University baseball team pulled out an

8-6 nonconference win over The Master’s College Tuesday afternoon.

Samuel Baeder’s two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning

gave the Lions (13-5) their sixth win in seven games.

Curt Garner went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, while Chad Chop added three

hits and a run scored for Vanguard.

Freshman Marcus Harris threw a complete game for the Lions. He allowed

only three earned runs and struck out seven.
