The fourth annual Two for Sure Tennis Tournament, run by the

Huntington Valley Tennis Club, came to a close last weekend with Joe

Schartman outlasting Bob Kienast in a match that lasted nearly three

hours.

Schartman, a software programmer and the tournament’s defending

champion, won the close match by winning the third and decisive set, 7-5,

in the main draw.

Kienast, a bank manager, has been a member of the tennis club for 22

years.

In the consolation final, Doug Leong, who has played more matches than

anyone other member of the club, beat Huntington Beach’s Jonathan Widman

in a tight, three-set match.
