FVLL to hold Opening Day

Fountain Valley Little League will hold Opening Day ceremonies

Saturday at Mile Square Park. Following a Pancake Breakfast ($3 per

person) that runs from 7-10 a.m., ceremonies will run from 11 a.m. to

noon, with all 46 teams in full uniform. Exhibition and league games

begin at 1 p.m.

5K Run/Walk nears

The fifth annual Make Tracks for Education 5K Run/Walk, hosted by

Marine View Middle School, is set for March 18. Funds raised will go

directly to Marine View Middle School and will be used to update the

library and computer and media center. The run/walk will take place along

the beach path south of the Huntington Beach Pier, at Beach Blvd. Race

Soccer club tryouts

South Coast Soccer will hold the first of two tryout sessions for boys

and girls, division U-10 through U-14, Saturday at Edison High. The

girls’ tryouts will run from 10 a.m. to noon, and the boys’ will take

place from 1-3 p.m. Players are encouraged to arrive 20 minutes early for

check in and warm ups.
